Plastic barrier laminate (PBL)

Freshpack Solutions produces plastic barrier laminate (PBL) for the production of laminate tubes.

PBL laminate is a composite material, which forms the body of laminate tubes.

Plastic barrier laminate TubeFRESH is made entirely from plastic materials.

PBL consists of six PE layers, two bonding layers and a barrier EVOH layer in between.

Laminate tubes which are based on a PBL are used for packaging of toothpastes, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.

• – absence of shape memory effect of the tube;
• – excellent barrier property to water vapor and oxygen;
• – excellent aroma barrier;
• – high flexibility of the material;
• – no cracking even during repeated deformation (bending);
• – tubes made of polymer films as reliable as tubes made of laminates based on aluminum.

Thickness of PBL laminate:

• – 300/5 - total thickness of 300 micron with a 5 micron barrier EVOH layer;
• – 300/15 - total thickness of 300 micron with a 15 micron barrier EVOH layer;
• – 350/15 - total thickness of 350 micron with a 15 micron barrier EVOH layer;
• – 350/25 - total thickness of 350 micron with a 25 micron barrier EVOH layer.
